Nota Breve

This blog could have been named "Musings of a Portuguese-American"; I chose "Message in a Bottle" as I will never know who my words will reach and the impact they'll have on all those strangers. It is being written in American English, as well as in Portuguese from Portugal.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Me, this blog; not me, its author.

I was born three years ago today, at a particularly sad time in my writer’s life. A lot has changed since then and she now feels like a resolute new woman, full of hope and dreams. Next month she will be visiting the land where she was born and raised, and she’s very happy about that.

My writer and I would like to thank you all for stopping by these past three years, for your patience and for sticking with us through all these ups and downs. Since then, many tears have been shed and much love has been given and received; for that (as well as your loyalty) we are both very grateful.

Thank you also for the over 5 thousand visualizations since my inception. We do not know any of you, as the only person whom we know who knows of the existence of this blog lives in another continent and does not read it, arguably under the guise of lack of time - yeah, right!

More like lack of interest.

But we’re both fine with that – at last!

We will continue to exist at least in the immediate future, frequency unknown.

We are both amazed and delighted that there are people out there who we don’t even know (and in all likelihood will never meet) who find us sufficiently interesting to return periodically.

We hope to never disappoint.

You will always be welcomed to this, our little corner.
